This document is provided in English; the English version governs.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and WorldGuide ("WorldGuide", "we", "us") governing your use of the WorldGuide websites, mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, browsing as a guest, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
WorldGuide is a travel planning and booking platform. You can generate and edit travel guides (including AI-generated itineraries, collections, and stories), plan trips collaboratively with other travelers, discover places, and book travel products such as accommodation, flights, and experiences supplied by third-party travel providers.
WorldGuide is a technology platform. Unless we expressly state otherwise for a specific product, the travel products you book through the Service are provided, fulfilled, and charged by third-party suppliers and their partner networks — not by WorldGuide. Section 5 explains this in more detail.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to create an account or book travel through the Service.
•
You sign in to WorldGuide with a supported third-party identity provider (for example Google, Apple, or Microsoft). You are responsible for keeping access to that identity provider account secure.
•
Parts of the Service can be used without signing in through a temporary guest session. Content and trips created in a guest session may be lost when the session ends unless you sign in and keep them.
•
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide — including traveler details used for bookings — and for all activity that happens under your account.
•
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account in settings.
Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence to generate travel plans, suggestions, and answers. AI-generated content is labeled in the product (for example with an "AI-generated" badge or provenance note). While we ground AI output against real place data and design the Service so that AI never invents places, AI-generated content can still be incomplete, out of date, or wrong.
•
AI-generated content is provided for planning convenience only. It is not professional, legal, medical, safety, or visa advice.
•
Always verify critical details — opening hours, entry requirements, visas, health and safety guidance, prices, and availability — with official sources or the relevant provider before relying on them.
•
AI-generated suggestions do not guarantee that a place, fare, or offer is available or bookable at the shown conditions.
Travel products available through the Service (such as stays, flights, and experiences) are supplied by third-party travel suppliers. The supplier — identified to you during checkout and in your booking confirmation — is the merchant of record for your purchase and the party responsible for delivering the travel product. Your booking is also subject to the supplier’s own terms, conditions, and fare or rate rules, which are shown or linked before you confirm.
•
Prices, taxes, and fees are shown before you confirm a booking. Until a booking is confirmed, prices and availability can change.
•
Payment is collected and processed by the supplier or its payment partners. WorldGuide does not store your full payment card details.
•
A booking is only confirmed when you receive a confirmation with a booking reference. If a booking fails or cannot be confirmed after payment, the corresponding charge will be reversed or refunded in line with the supplier’s process.
•
You are responsible for meeting travel requirements that apply to you and your party: valid travel documents, visas, health requirements, and arriving on time.
Whether a booking can be changed, cancelled, or refunded — and at what cost — depends on the rate or fare rules of the specific offer you booked, as shown at checkout and in your booking details. Where self-service cancellation is available, you can manage it from your bookings page; otherwise contact us and we will work with the supplier on your behalf.
Nothing in this section limits rights you have under applicable law, including mandatory passenger-rights or package-travel rules that may apply to specific products in your jurisdiction.
You keep ownership of the content you create on WorldGuide — guides, stories, trip notes, photos, tips, comments, and similar material ("User Content").
•
So that we can operate the Service, you grant WorldGuide a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example to reformat or translate), publish, and display your User Content, in line with the visibility settings you choose for it.
•
You are responsible for your User Content. You confirm that you have the rights needed to post it and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break the law.
•
We may remove or restrict User Content that violates these Terms or our content rules, and we may preserve and disclose content where the law requires it.
•
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:
•
break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or post content that is fraudulent, defamatory, hateful, or harmful;
•
make speculative, false, or fraudulent bookings, or bookings in anticipation of demand;
•
use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service, or attempt to extract our data or content at scale (including to train machine-learning models) without our written permission;
•
interfere with the operation or security of the Service, probe or test vulnerabilities without authorization, or circumvent access controls or rate limits;
•
misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or harass other users;
•
resell or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly allowed (for example under the Creator Terms or a separate agreement with us).
If you publish content on WorldGuide as a creator — including participation in any program that earns revenue from bookings your content drives — the Creator Terms apply in addition to these Terms.
A workspace for professional travel agents is in development. When it launches it will be governed by separate Agent Terms; a preview is published alongside these Terms.
The Service — including its software, design, branding, and content we or our licensors provide — is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the apps and websites for your personal, non-commercial use (or your internal professional use where a separate agreement allows it). We and our licensors keep all rights not expressly granted.
Place data, maps, and photography in the Service may come from third-party providers and remain subject to their terms and attribution requirements.
The Service relies on third-party services — identity providers for sign-in, map and place-data providers, travel suppliers, and payment processors. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, but we choose and integrate them carefully.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content — including AI-generated content and third-party travel data — is accurate, complete, or current.
Travel involves inherent risks. Decisions you make based on information in the Service — where to go, what to book, what to rely on — are your own.
To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) WorldGuide is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill; (b) WorldGuide is not liable for the acts or omissions of travel suppliers or other third parties, including failure to deliver a booked travel product; and (c) WorldGuide’s total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (i) the amounts you paid through the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (ii) USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including, where applicable, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or gross negligence — and nothing in these Terms affects statutory consumer rights you are entitled to where you live.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service (or parts of it) if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you creates a security, legal, or fraud risk. Where reasonable, we will notify you and give you a chance to remedy the issue first. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including those on User Content licenses needed to operate shared content, disclaimers, liability limits, and disputes — survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the WorldGuide operating entity is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the laws of your country of residence (including its consumer-protection rules) mandatorily apply. Courts of that jurisdiction have jurisdiction over disputes that cannot be resolved informally, except where mandatory law gives you the right to sue where you live.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us — most issues can be resolved quickly and informally.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will give you reasonable advance notice — for example in the app or by email — before it takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply to you; if you do not agree to a change, stop using the Service before it takes effect.
